Hello! My cousin, Susan Acker Painter, linked me to your site. Susan is actually my first cousin, once removed, but looking at what you posted above, that should make you and I cousins of some sort.
She shared some information with me that you discovered about the mysterious John B. Acker and Esther Crank, and I'm thrilled to have some clues at last. Thank you for your research on them.
Dear Cousin Elizabeth, I am so sorry for replying so late. First I didn't know I had a comment, because I am new at blogging. By the time I saw it, I remembered my conversation with Susan, but for the life of me could not find it anywhere so I could refer to it when I replied! I finally did find it. One of the reasons it was lost is because neither one of you is our DNA relative, so I couldn't find you anywhere. I guess it is because Ancestry dropped matches with cM shorter than 7. Terrible! It made me think I was on the completely wrong track with Hester Krankheyt, when it all seemed so perfect. I am glad you enjoy the blog. That is my purpose for writing it. I promise to be a better correspondent. ~ Anne
